For meetings and project weeks in Erlangen we rent out two apartments in Fürth-Vach, approx. 10 km away: approx. 15 minutes by car into the centre, or roughly 10 minutes with the S1 from the Fürth-Vach stop. With a workspace, fast Wi-Fi, your own kitchen, washing machine and dryer.
Honest about the address: the apartments are in Fürth-Vach, not in Erlangen. For project stays that usually works well — a quiet residential district by the river Regnitz, no city-centre parking search, and the S1 runs to Erlangen without changing trains (approximate times, no guarantee).
What matters on a longer assignment is everyday life: a table you can genuinely work at, Wi-Fi that carries video calls, a fully equipped kitchen for breakfast and dinner on your own schedule, a separate sleeping area for quiet nights, and a washing machine and tumble dryer so you do not need a laundry service.
